Product FAQs

Is your vegan protein powder free from common allergens?

Yes! Our Tri-blend protein is naturally free from common allergens like gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, and nuts. It is generally well-tolerated by most people, making it a suitable alternative for those with food sensitivities or allergies.

Can I add a scoop of protein powder to baked food recipes?

Yes! You can add a scoop of protein powder to baked food recipes. Incorporating protein powder into baking is a popular way to boost the protein content of various foods, such as pancakes, muffins, bread, cookies, and more. However, there are just a few considerations to keep in mind to ensure the best results:

  • Adjust Liquids: Protein powders absorb moisture. You might need to adjust the amount of liquid in your recipe to prevent your baked goods from becoming too dry. Consider adding a little extra water, milk, or any other liquid your recipe calls for.
  • Start Small: If you're experimenting with adding protein powder to a recipe for the first time, start with a small amount. You can replace a portion of the flour with protein powder rather than all of it. A good starting point could be replacing 1/3 of the flour with protein powder.
  • Baking Temperature and Time: Baked goods with protein powder might cook differently. They can tend to cook faster and dry out more easily, so you may need to adjust your baking time and perhaps lower the temperature slightly.
  • Nutritional Boost: Adding protein powder to recipes can significantly increase the protein content, making your baked goods more filling and nutritionally balanced.
  • Experiment and Adjust: Baking with protein powder can require a bit of experimentation. The first batch might not come out perfect, but with adjustments, you can often achieve excellent results!

How do we ensure the quality and purity of our vegan protein powder?

All our ingredients are certified organic, vegan, and non-GMO. Each inventory batch goes through standard quality control testing and receives a certificate of analysis ensuring it has been approved in accordance with good manufacturing practices and operating procedures.

Is our vegan protein powder suitable for athletes and fitness enthusiasts?

Yes, our vegan protein powder is suitable for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. While traditionally, whey protein has been the go-to choice for many athletes due to its complete amino acid profile and fast absorption, vegan protein powders have gained popularity and acceptance among athletes for several reasons:

  • Complete Amino Acid Profile: Our vegan protein powder is formulated with a blend of plant-based protein sources, such as pea, rice, and pumpkin seed protein, to provide a complete profile of essential amino acids. This ensures that you receive all the amino acids necessary for muscle repair, growth, and recovery.
  • Digestive Comfort: Some athletes may experience digestive discomfort or bloating when consuming whey protein, particularly those with lactose intolerance or sensitivities to dairy products. Our vegan protein powder is easier to digest and may be better tolerated by individuals with sensitive stomachs.
  • Plant-Based Nutrition: Our vegan protein powders offer the benefits of plant-based nutrition, including antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. These nutrients support overall health, immune function, and recovery from intense physical activity.
  • Dietary Diversity: Incorporating our vegan protein powder allows you to diversify your protein sources and meet your nutritional needs while adhering to plant-based or vegetarian diets.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Our vegan protein powders have a lower environmental footprint compared to animal-based protein sources like whey protein. Choosing vegan protein powders aligns with sustainability goals and may appeal to athletes who prioritize environmental concerns.
  • Ethical Considerations: Some athletes choose vegan protein powders for ethical reasons, such as animal welfare concerns or personal beliefs about the treatment of animals. Using our vegan protein powder allows you to support these values while fueling your body for optimal performance.

Is our vegan protein powder suitable for all dietary preferences?

Our vegan protein powder is designed to be inclusive and suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences, particularly for those following vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, keto, paleo, dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free diets.

How does your vegan protein powder contain all 9 essential amino acids?

Our Tri-blend combines pea, rice, and pumpkin seed proteins to yield a complete protein profile. Essential amino acids are building blocks that the body cannot synthesize on its own and must be obtained through diet. Many protein rich foods have different types and amounts of essential and nonessential amino acids, which is why variety is important to ensure you get a complete profile.

While pea protein contains all nine essential amino acids, it is particularly high in the following:

  • Histidine - An essential amino acid important for the growth and repair of tissues.
  • Isoleucine - One of the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) that helps with muscle repair and energy regulation.
  • Leucine - Another BCAA, crucial for promoting muscle growth, repair, and recovery after exercise. It's often considered the most important BCAA for stimulating muscle protein synthesis. It also helps regulate blood sugar levels.
  • Lysine - An essential amino acid used for protein synthesis, collagen formation, and calcium absorption. It also plays a role in immune function and hormone production.
  • Valine - Another BCAA, it stimulates muscle growth and regeneration and is involved in energy production.

Rice protein technically contains all 9 essential amino acids, however, the levels of lysine are too low to consider it a complete protein. Here are some higher level amino acids found in rice protein:

  • Phenylalanine: An essential amino acid and a precursor to tyrosine, which is involved in the synthesis of neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. It's also important for protein synthesis and overall brain function.
  • Glutamine: A nonessential amino acid that plays a crucial role in muscle repair and immune function. It's also important for gut health and overall recovery after exercise.
  • Arginine: A nonessential amino acid involved in various processes in the body, including protein synthesis, wound healing, and immune function. It's also a precursor to nitric oxide, which helps regulate blood flow and may have cardiovascular benefits.
  • Aspartic acid: Also a nonessential amino acid involved in energy metabolism and plays a role in the synthesis of other amino acids and neurotransmitters.

Pumpkin seed protein contains all nine essential amino acids, making it a complete protein source. Here are some of the amino acids that are typically found in abundance and their roles in the body:

  • Tryptophan: Tryptophan is a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood, sleep, and appetite. It also plays a role in the synthesis of niacin (vitamin B3) and supports immune function.
  • Tyrosine: Tyrosine is a precursor to several important neurotransmitters, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. It is involved in regulating mood, stress response, and cognitive function.
  • Threonine - Important for immune system function, as it helps build protein in the body.
